Timofey Mozgov says nobody called about Cavaliers reunion

Timofey Mozgov said nobody from the Cleveland Cavaliers' title team texted or called him about the club's ten-year championship anniversary reunion in Europe. He said he saw the party video and felt left out, even though he would have joined the trip.

“Yes, I saw the video of that party. No one wrote or called me. If I’d been invited, I’d have gladly joined. Of course, I’d have loved to be there too, to drink some wine,” Mozgov told Sport Express on Friday.

LeBron James hosted the trip

LeBron James hosted the reunion vacation, which brought together Kevin Love, J.R. Smith, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye and Tristan Thompson. Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova joined later, giving the gathering a clear link to the 2015–16 roster that won the championship.

Mozgov was part of that run. He played in 13 games during the 2015–16 postseason and spent eight total NBA seasons in the league, with stops that also included the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.

Kyrie Irving and the roster split

J.R. Smith said Kyrie Irving had been invited but ghosted the team. Kyrie later posted an appreciation graphic on Instagram featuring the entire championship roster, a separate public gesture from the private trip that left Mozgov on the outside.

That contrast is the sharp edge of this reunion story: some of the champions were gathered in Europe, some were mentioned as invited but absent, and Mozgov says he never got a call in the first place. Why he was not contacted is not explained, and that leaves his response as the clearest part of the record — he would have gone.
