Kristen Zitani details Playstation Plus July 2026 lineup with 3 games

Kristen Zitani’s PlayStation Plus July 2026 announcement puts three games in front of members for a short window: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II and CrossCode. The lineup runs from Tuesday July 7 until Monday August 3, so subscribers have less than a month to claim it.

The July PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup brings a blockbuster shooter, a four player co-op RPG and a retro-inspired 2D action RPG into one monthly drop. That range is the point: it gives PlayStation Plus members a single claim period with three very different games instead of one narrow release profile.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is the most commercially obvious draw in the set, and the PlayStation Blog framing makes that plain by calling it a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Captain Price and Task Force 141 face Vladimir Makarov in the campaign, while Multiplayer includes 16 maps that launched with Modern Warfare 2 in 2009.

Modern Warfare Zombies adds a different lane for players who want a team-based mode: it lets squads team up with other squads for the first time ever, and it takes place on the largest Zombies map yet. For PlayStation Plus, that kind of mix usually serves a simple business purpose — one headline game pulls attention, while the other modes widen how long players stay engaged.

For the King II and Fahrul

For the King II widens the offer beyond a shooter and into RPG territory, following Queen Rosomon after she has turned against her subjects in Fahrul. Players can tackle Fahrul solo or in four player co-op, which makes it the lineup’s most flexible pick for groups that want a shared session instead of a solo campaign.

The structure matters for subscribers who choose value by play style rather than brand recognition. A campaign built around solo or co-op play gives PlayStation Plus members a different kind of monthly game utility: something they can finish alone or use as a rotating group title without changing the claim window.

CrossCode and region limits

CrossCode rounds out the three-game set with 16-bit style graphics, physics, a fast-paced combat system, puzzle mechanics and a sci-fi story. The PlayStation Blog also says the game might outright surprise players, which fits a lineup that is trying to cover both a big name and a more specific niche.

The complication is regional: the July PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup may differ by region, even though the announcement says it is for all PlayStation Plus members. That leaves the practical question in front of subscribers: claim the July 7 to August 3 window early, and check whether their own region receives the same three-game set.

Kristen Zitani is listed as Manager, Content Communications at Sony Interactive Entertainment in the PlayStation Blog credits, and that credit trail gives the announcement a clear internal owner. For members, the smartest move is simple — use the window while it is open, because this monthly drop expires on Monday August 3.
