G. Ramos is AC Milan’s new record signing. The club paid €74 million to bring him from Paris Saint-Germain, and the deal runs through June 2031.
The fee breaks the mark set in 2019, when AC Milan signed Rafael Leão from Lille for €49.5 million. Ramos arrives as the first signing of the Amorim era at Milan after a fifth-place finish in Serie A and a missed Champions League place on the final day of the 2025-26 season.
Paris Saint-Germain numbers
Ramos leaves Paris Saint-Germain with 45 goals in 131 appearances. He also helped the club win three Ligue 1 titles and two Champ titles, a return that explains why AC Milan treated him as a record purchase rather than a routine addition.
The transfer also gives AC Milan a clear attacking reset point after a season that ended with a 2–1 defeat to Cagliari and a place in the Europa League next season. For a squad that needed a sharper finish, the club has chosen a forward with a long runway rather than a short stopgap.
June 2031 commitment
Ramos signed through June 2031 while representing Portugal at the 2026 World Cup, so the new contract is built for the long term. The structure points to a player meant to sit at the center of AC Milan’s next phase, not just cover one campaign.
There is one detail still left out of the fee: how much of the €74 million is fixed and how much depends on variables. The headline number is already enough to reset AC Milan’s transfer record, but the full comparison with past business will only be possible once that split is made public.
