Wingfoot One will return to AirVenture in Oshkosh in 2026, and the blimp is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, July 23. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company said it will fly Wingfoot One over the EAA grounds at various times during the July 20-26 convention at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.
Rick Larsen, vice president of communities and member programs for EAA, said, "The Goodyear Blimp is unmatched in both its pedigree and in the excitement that it generates among attendees arriving to AirVenture. Whether soaring through the sky or parked at Pioneer Airport, it is one of the first things visitors see when they arrive," and added, "Goodyear has been a fixture at the event over the past 50-plus years, and its presence in 2026 proves EAA AirVenture is a truly ‘blimp-worthy’ event."
Joe Burke, vice president of global aviation at Goodyear, said, "AirVenture gives us an unmatched opportunity to engage with aviation enthusiasts on the world’s stage" and added, "Whether they are seeing the Goodyear Blimp overhead or engaging with our Aviation team on the ground, events like this allow us to bring our story to life, showcasing both the legacy of our iconic Blimp and the innovative aviation solutions that support pilots and operators every day." Goodyear's exhibitor display will be in Main Aircraft Display #489.
Goodyear and EAA AirVenture
This year marks 55 years since the Goodyear Blimp America made its initial appearance at the EAA fly-in in 1971. Goodyear last appeared at EAA in 2025 with two blimps to celebrate 100 years of Goodyear's very first branded blimp, Pilgrim.
The schedule gives attendees a specific arrival date, but Goodyear also said the blimp will be over the grounds at various times during AirVenture rather than continuously on site. That leaves the day’s exact flight windows unstated, even as the company plans both an airborne presence and a display on the ground.
For visitors planning around the July 20-26 convention, the clearest point is Thursday, July 23. By then, Wingfoot One should be part of the mix of overhead viewing, Pioneer Airport sightings and the Main Aircraft Display presence that has made Goodyear a recurring part of AirVenture for decades.
