Arsenal Ayyoub Bouaddi Transfer: Lille Want €75m-€80m Loan-Back Deal

Arsenal Ayyoub Bouaddi transfer talks have shifted, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea now prepared to accept Lille’s loan-back request for the 18-year-old midfielder. The move opens a path to a cheaper deal now, with Bouaddi staying at Lille for the 2026/27 campaign.

Lille’s preferred structure has two price points. If Bouaddi is sold right away, the club want €100m or £86m. If a buyer takes him now and sends him back on loan for one more season, Lille are prepared to accept around €75m-€80m or £64m-£68.5m.

Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea

That compromise gives Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea a clear route into the race. They are the Premier League sides now willing to go along with the loan-back arrangement, which keeps Lille in control of the timing while still bringing in a large fee.

Bouaddi has already become a regular starter for Lille in Ligue 1 over the last 18 months. He is also earning rave reviews for his displays for Morocco at the World Cup, which has only increased the pull around a player already drawing attention from PSG and Real Madrid.

Liverpool and Manchester United

The split in approach is sharp. Liverpool and Manchester United are less favourable to paying a big fee and waiting a year for the player, and they are expected to bow out of the race. That leaves Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City as the main English contenders, with the loan-back condition now shaping who stays involved.

Ben Jacobs said Lille have two different transfer fees in mind depending on the structure they agree with a buying club. The practical effect is simple: clubs that want Bouaddi immediately must pay more, while those willing to wait can try to land him for less and leave him in Ligue 1 for another season.

Lille and the 2026/27 campaign

Bailey said Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea have softened their stance, adding: “I can exclusively reveal that Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea have all softened their stance and are now prepared to accept a loan-back arrangement if it gives them the edge in the race to sign one of Europe’s elite teenage talents.” He also said: “All three Premier League giants had initially been keen to integrate Bouaddi into their first-team environments sooner rather than later.”

Bailey added: “However, sources say they increasingly recognise that agreeing to Lille’s request may prove decisive in winning the battle for his signature.” Whether Lille receive the lower fee and which club moves first now shapes the race, because the next decisive offer has to match both the price and the loan-back terms.
