Patrick Kiprop Wins Again at Peachtree Road Race Results

Patrick Kiprop won the Peachtree Road Race results in the elite men’s division on Saturday, and he did it for the second straight year. Tsigie Gebreselama finished just ahead of Malknat Wudu in the elite women’s race.

Kiprop of Kenya crossed first in the elite men’s race at 7:11 a.m. That gave him a second consecutive Peachtree Road Race victory at the 57th running of the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race.

The men’s result came before the start line closed at 8:30 a.m., when all waves and runners had already taken off. The race started near Lenox Square and finished at Piedmont Park, with tens of thousands of people moving through Midtown Atlanta on a course known as the world’s largest 10K.

Gebreselama edged Wudu in the elite women’s division at 7:17 a.m. The gap was narrow enough to stand beside Kiprop’s repeat win as the other headline result from the front of the field.

The women’s finish also came early in a morning that was already moving fast at the finish line. Participants were gathering there by 7:34 a.m., and runners were still filtering into Piedmont Park at 8:05 a.m. as the day continued around the race.

Dyan Szall and We the Peaches

The race’s off-course story arrived at 8:35 a.m., when the 2026 T-shirt design titled We the Peaches was revealed. Dyan Szall created the illustration, and her entry said, “We the Peaches celebrates the community we build on Peachtree Road every July 4th — the runners, the walkers, the supporters and the volunteers,” and “From the start under the flag to the finish line, it champions the inclusivity of freedom and justice for all.”

That morning carried another complication. The race began under a red flag warning for potentially dangerous conditions, with temperatures expected to peak in the mid-to-upper 90s, and five protestors got onto the route and blocked part of the street at 8:07 a.m. Charges were pending against those five at that time.

The result leaves Kiprop as the repeat winner to beat in one of the biggest races on the calendar. It also leaves the women’s race defined by a tight finish, and the finishing times for Kiprop, Gebreselama and Wudu were not part of the race result released here.
