Kate Middleton completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours and later shared new family photos from the finish at Snowdon. The images showed her meeting Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Carole Middleton, Michael Middleton and James at the bottom of Yr Wyddfa.
She said, “This time last week, completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everybody who has supported The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.” In the same message, Kate said the climb was tied to support for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon
The challenge meant climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. Kate climbed Ben Nevis at 1,345 m, Scafell Pike at 978 m and Snowdon at 1,085 m before reaching the finish with her family.
She marked the milestone with a photo of herself on Ben Nevis and wrote that cancer tests people physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. She added that cancer changes how people think and feel, affects every aspect of life and requires more than medicine alone.
James Middleton’s message
James said he was “so incredibly proud” of his sister and wrote, “Two years ago, I told you we'd climb this mountain together.” He also said they had talked about climbing mountains while she was in hospital and that he joined her for her Three Peaks Challenge for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Kate described the effort as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back. She said The Royal Marsden is a place that holds great meaning for her, and her caption said the challenge will support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The post leaves one practical point unanswered: how much money the challenge raised is not stated. The photos and messages show the climb is being used both as a personal milestone and as a fundraising appeal tied to cancer care.
