Sol Ruca kept her IC title on July 6, surviving Raquel Rodriguez’s power game before finishing the match with the Sol Snatcher for the pin and the win. Rodriguez had repeatedly backed her toward trouble and looked in control for long stretches, but Ruca found enough space to turn the match back her way.
The defense mattered because it played out on WWE Raw as part of the night’s live in-ring action, and the finish came after outside interference had already tilted the match. Rodriguez overpowered Ruca early, shoved her into the corner, and later landed a slam for a two-count, while Ruca answered with a springboard crossbody and a running knee to the face before closing the deal.
The ringside scramble changed everything. Roxanne Perez showed up to support Rodriguez, distracted the referee, and Liv Morgan blocked Ruca from hitting the Sol Snatcher, which left the titleholder fighting through two layers of resistance at once. Then Iyo Sky surprised Perez from the crowd and took out both Perez and Morgan with a moonsault from the apron, clearing the path for Ruca’s last burst of offense.
That is the part that makes the result harder to read than a simple title defense. Ruca won cleanly at the bell, but only after the match had already been bent by the presence of Perez, Morgan, and Sky, leaving the bigger question of who is actually lined up next for the IC title.
