Premier League Fixtures: Three Arsenal matches switched for UK TV coverage

Three of Arsenal’s early Premier League fixtures have been switched for live TV coverage in the UK, with all Premier League TV selections now confirmed up to the start of the first international break of the season.

The changes affect five listed matches across August and September, with three of them moving for broadcast and one keeping its original 3pm kick-off without appearing on UK TV.

Arsenal’s revised fixture list

Arsenal’s home meeting with Coventry City will now take place on Friday, August 21 at 8pm and will be shown on Sky Sports.

The Gunners’ away match at Aston Villa has also been moved, with that game scheduled for Monday, August 31 at 8pm on Sky Sports. Another London derby follows on Sunday, September 6, when Arsenal host Chelsea at 4.30pm, again live on Sky Sports.

There is also a later change for the trip to Sunderland. That match is set for Saturday, September 12 at 8pm and will be televised by TNT Sports.

One fixture has not moved. Arsenal’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion remains at 3pm on Saturday, September 19 and will not be broadcast on UK TV.

What it means

For supporters planning around the opening weeks of the campaign, the adjustments create a more TV-friendly run of fixtures, but they also stretch Arsenal’s schedule across several different kick-off slots. That can matter for travel, preparation and recovery, especially with a Friday night home clash followed by another set of changes in quick succession.

The broader caveat is that the fixture list remains subject to change for other reasons, even though the current Premier League TV selections have now been confirmed through the first international break.
