Ronni Ancona’s Bea Pollard kidnapped Honey Mitchell in EastEnders and ended up arrested after a violent confrontation with Billy Mitchell. The episode was available early on iPlayer before its Two broadcast at 7:30pm, giving the climax a head start with viewers who wanted the payoff without waiting for the linear airing.
Honey Mitchell in Kent
Bea took Honey to a cottage in Kent after bundling an unconscious Honey into a rented car and driving off into the night in yesterday’s episode. Honey woke up panicked, found the cottage door locked, and then heard Bea set out a plan for a new life abroad with Honey and the children, Will and Janet.
£10,000 also came into the picture when Bea suggested Honey should take that sum out of the Minute Mart accounts, while Honey’s transfer reference accidentally included the name of the village. Suki Panesar-Unwin noticed the missing cash, and Linda Carter and Nicola Mitchell picked up the hidden clue, which sent the trio in the direction of Kent.
Peacock Palace escape
Two holidaymakers arrived after renting the cottage online, and Bea trapped Honey in a cupboard before ushering them away from the door. Honey found a spare set of keys, broke out, and ran down a country lane back toward the Walford women before being safely guided back to Peacock Palace.
That escape closed the gap between the abduction and the arrest. It also turned Bea’s own pitch into its opposite: she had said, “I’m not unhinged, I’m just having a bad day!” while trying to justify the kidnap, but the episode showed a calculated sequence of hiding, locking, and moving Honey around Kent.
Billy Mitchell fight
Bea then grabbed Billy Mitchell by the neck and tried to throttle him. Honey launched into action, a huge physical fight followed, and Bea ended up on the floor with a heavy ornament held above her head before the police arrested her.
Ronni Ancona’s character was then driven out of Walford in a blaze of blue lights, but the episode stops short of spelling out what happens after the arrest. For viewers, the immediate story has moved from kidnapping to custody, with Honey back on her feet and Bea’s exit already written into the aftermath.
