Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull used one of their days off for some much needed rest and relaxation on a California beach Monday, giving the Indiana Fever duo a brief reset before the team’s next game.

The beach outing came with the Fever sitting at 12-8 and preparing for a Wednesday night matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks at Manhattan Beach. In a season where every game can matter, the timing made the day off a practical one as well as an enjoyable one.

Cunningham and Hull have already been visible around the team this year. On August 7, 2025, the two arrived to the arena before an Indiana Fever game against the Phoenix Mercury in Phoenix, Arizona, and later a photo from November 12, 2025 showed Caitlin Clark looking on with Hull and Cunningham from the 16th tee prior to The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican 2025 in Belleair, Florida.

The off-court moment also fit the broader image the pair have projected. Chris Broussard joked that if you know ball, you know the two were not going to miss a bikini day off, and he added that they were not going to be bullied out of having fun off the court. He also said they have proven they can play their part on the court while enjoying themselves off it, get their much-needed rest and relaxation, and even work on their tans, which he said will pay off in the tunnel pregame.

Deion Sanders has made a similar point in a different setting with his familiar line: “Look good, feel good. Feel good, play good. Play good, they pay good.” For Cunningham and Hull, Monday’s beach day was simply that in action — a chance to recharge before getting back to work for the Fever.
