Conair issued a Cuisinart gas grill recall for about 12,660 Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills in the United States after the pizza oven’s tempered glass window was found to shatter during use. The recall affects the stainless-steel model CGG-6331 and tells owners to stop using the grill immediately.
The grill has a griddle, a stove top burner and a pizza oven with tempered glass on top of the lid. Conair said affected consumers must remove the glass window, then upload two photographs to the firm’s website — one of the removed glass and one of the grill’s serial number.
CGG-6331 label location
The model number CGG-6331 appears on the label inside the right-hand metal door, along with the serial number. That detail is the fastest way for a buyer to check whether a unit falls under the recall before starting the refund process.
Conair said consumers who complete verification will receive a $500 refund by check or be reimbursed for the original purchase amount with proof of receipt. After the refund, they are told to write the word Recall with a black sharpie marker on the tempered glass and dispose of it.
Conair recall reports
The safety notice comes after 37 reports of shattered glass during use and one fire. No injuries have been reported. The recall also covers about 83 additional grills sold in Canada, showing the same glass hazard extends beyond the larger United States count.
Conair, of Stamford, Connecticut, sells the product through Cuisinart. Consumers can reach the company toll-free at 833-408-0463 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit RecallRTR and Cuisinart’s Product Recalls page for the refund instructions.
For owners, the practical step is simple: check the label, stop using the grill, and follow the photo upload process before handling the refund. The recall warning involves a serious laceration hazard, but the notice says no injuries have been reported.
