Liam Gallagher is part of the Oasis plan for a 12-night residency at the Etihad Stadium in summer 2027. The Manchester Evening News says the announcement could land within weeks, turning the talk around Oasis Live 2027 into something far more concrete for Manchester.
A music industry insider told the Manchester Evening News, the 12-night Etihad Stadium run will stretch across May and June. The same source said, “It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It's just massive for Manchester and for the local economy.”
May, June and up to 20 dates
The scale may not stop at 12. The insider added, “They could even add more dates to that as well, there's talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth.” That pushes the story beyond one stadium booking and into the shape of a broader 2027 run.
For Manchester, the timing matters. The Etihad Stadium saw live music return this summer after a three-year absence, with The Weeknd and Take That both playing there, and the venue is now being readied for another major homecoming. Oasis Live '25 began in Cardiff in 2025, but this next phase would place the band back in Manchester on a much larger scale.
Heaton Park dropped from view
The MEN understands that Heaton Park is not being considered for the new Oasis tour, even though fans had speculated about it after Parklife moved to July. Parklife 2027 is scheduled for July 10 and 11, which removes one of the obvious timing clashes and leaves the Etihad Stadium as the clearest fit for the reported residency.
City scheduling also points in the same direction. Manchester City's last home game in the 26/27 Premier League season falls on Saturday May 23 against Aston Villa, while the last day of the season is Sunday May 30, when City are away to Sunderland. That leaves the stadium calendar open for a run that could begin once football clears out and carry into June for the band and their touring entourage.
Oasis Live 2027 momentum
Betway is offering 2/1 on Oasis headlining Glastonbury in 2027, which keeps more than one live-booking scenario in play. But the sharpest signal is still the Etihad Stadium plan: if the tour is announced within weeks, the next real checkpoint is whether the band locks in 12 dates or pushes the total closer to 20.
