Liam Neeson film The Fix sets Sept. 11 theatrical release

Liam Neeson’s Iran-set action thriller The Fix is set for a wide theatrical release on Sept. 11, after previously carrying the title Hotel Tehran. Inaugural Entertainment is putting the film into theaters as a fall release built around Liam Neeson, Zachary Levi and Quincy Isaiah.

Guy Moshe and The Fix

Guy Moshe wrote and directed the film, and he also co-wrote the script with Mark Bacci and Ron Hutchinson. His stated aim was specific: the movie was born from “a long-standing desire of mine to put audiences inside the chaos and moral weight of war, not just the action of it.”

That approach makes the release feel less like a routine title change than a repositioning of the film’s pitch. A nationwide theatrical rollout gives Inaugural Entertainment a cleaner commercial setup than the earlier title did, and it puts the cast in front of audiences as a single package rather than as scattered genre fragments.

Former CIA Operators

The film centers on a group of former CIA operators seeking redemption in the Iranian capital, with Larry, Tucker and the rest of the team trying to pull off a daring rescue after a failed Afghanistan mission. That setup gives the movie two pressure points at once: a rescue narrative and a redemption story, even though the source does not explain how the Afghanistan failure connects to the Iranian operation.

Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi lead the cast, with Quincy Isaiah alongside Wes Chatham, Jake Choi, Augusto Aguilera, Navid Negahban, Elnaaz Norouzi, Grant Harvey, Lara Wolf, Annet Mahendru and Titus Welliver. Astral Future produced the film with Latigo Films and Dreamtime Films, while the project sits in association with Oakhurst Entertainment, BondIt Media Capital, Eyevox Entertainment, Blue Rider Media and Thomasville Pictures.

Inaugural Entertainment’s fall slate

Kevin Weisberg said, “We are thrilled to bring The Fix to wide theatrical audiences as a cornerstone of our fall slate.” Zamias added, “From the moment we met Kevin and his team at Inaugural, we knew they were the perfect fit to release The Fix nationwide.”

Rocket Science handles international sales, so the Sept. 11 launch is not just a domestic booking note; it also gives the film a sharper sales identity heading into the rest of its rollout. The cleaner title, the cast, and the fall date all point to a straightforward theatrical push, and that is the part to watch now: whether The Fix can turn its new name into a clearer market position before it opens.
