Donald Trump says he aced 30/30 on Trump Hospital cognitive test

Donald Trump said on Saturday that he had just finished a perfect physical at Walter Reed Medical Center and requested another cognitive test while he was golfing. The post on Truth Social renewed attention on his Trump hospital claim, because the White House said he was referring to the physical he had in May.

“Also, I just finished a perfect physical at Walter Reed, I do it every six months, and I requested another Cognitive Test, the only President to do so, three times, and I aced them all — Got every question right,” he wrote. Trump also said he gets the test every six months and has aced it each time.

May 26 and the 14 pounds

Trump’s most recent physical was on May 26. After that exam, Sean Barbabella said Trump was in “excellent health.” The May physical also said Trump had put on 14 pounds since his previous physical in April 2025, and it tried to explain his bruised hands by saying aspirin was the culprit.

The test Trump was believed to be describing was the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, or MoCA. It includes identifying pictured animals, drawing the time on a clock face, and recalling words given earlier in the test. According to his medical results, Trump has scored 30/30 each time.

Truth Social and Maggie Haberman

The timing mattered because there had been no reports of Trump undergoing another medical exam after the late-May physical. The post also targeted Maggie Haberman, whom Trump called a loser and said her book was a joke.

The White House said Trump was referring to the May exam, not a new one. That leaves the same basic question at the center of the episode: whether he had another physical at Walter Reed Medical Center, or was repeating the result of the May 26 visit while golfing on Saturday.
