West Ham United have added an exciting young defender to their squad, with 18-year-old England Under-20 international Niamh Peacock joining after being released by Arsenal this summer. Peacock arrives at West Ham after spending most of her football life inside Arsenal's academy pathway, having joined the club at the age of nine after earlier spells with Chelsea and a grassroots side. She said she had been with Arsenal for 10 years, but that her route to this point began much earlier, playing with her dad and brother in the cages at the age of four.
A first professional contract and a fresh start
