The Wimbledon men's singles final will start at 4pm for the second year running, with organisers keeping the later Centre Court schedule in place for Wimbledon 2025.
That means the final will again be played in a more TV-friendly window, including 11am on the east coast of the United States. For decades, the Championship match began at 2pm on Centre Court, but Wimbledon moved the men's final back by two hours last year and has now decided to keep it there.
Why the later start matters
The timing change is designed to improve the experience for players, spectators and TV audiences. Sally Bolton, the All England Club chief executive, said the changes were made to enhance the overall experience for everyone involved.
The revised schedule also gives doubles players a clearer timetable. Under the current plan, the doubles finals will begin at 1pm, which removes some of the uncertainty that used to come from waiting for singles matches and trophy presentations to finish.
What else changed
The later start was first introduced last year, and it came after audience figures fell during the 2024 Championships. The women's singles final drew around 400,000 fewer peak viewers than the previous year.
With the men’s final staying at 4pm and the doubles finals set for 1pm, Wimbledon has now committed to the newer order for another year. For fans asking what time is the Wimbledon men's final, the answer is once again 4pm.
