Errol Musk said the Musk Foundation covered Tommy Robinson’s trip to Russia, where Robinson appeared in Moscow last month and met Russian business figures. Police in Britain stopped and seized Robinson’s phones when he returned.
Tommy Robinson in Moscow
Robinson shared video of himself in a luxury Moscow hotel with Errol Musk. He also issued calls for supporters to take to the streets after a knife attack in Belfast, a separate development that made the Russia visit part of a wider public profile shift rather than a one-off appearance.
Errol Musk said, “I brought him out to Russia,” and described Robinson as “a fine young man” who is “very hotheaded, but at the same time, he’s learning.” He also said he believed Russia had a “genetic advantage” over the west.
Musk Foundation and Russia
Errol Musk said he and Robinson held meetings with Russian business figures. He did not disclose how much of the trip the Musk Foundation covered, leaving the funding relationship described only in broad terms.
Robinson had previously visited Russia several years ago. Last month he also shared footage of Russian ultra-nationalists holding a rally in memory of Henry Nowak.
Britain and the return
As Robinson returned from Russia, police in Britain stopped and seized his phones. The sequence leaves the Russia trip tied to an immediate response at home, even before any further action linked to the seizure is made public.
Prof Stephan Lewandowsky said the visit by Robinson and Andrew Tate came against the backdrop of a hybrid war that Vladimir Putin was waging against the west. He added: “It is to their political advantage, but there is also clearly examples of ideological alignment to the extent that we are talking about ultra-nationalist birds of a feather.”
The unresolved issue is how far the Musk Foundation’s support went and what the phone seizure will lead to. For now, the public record points to a Russia trip, a funding claim from Errol Musk, and an immediate intervention by police in Britain.
