Mollie King is making her Celebrity Gogglebox debut this week with Stuart Broad. The pair arrive on the show with a relationship history that already stretches from 2012 to January 2025.
King rose with The Saturdays before moving into TV and radio, while Broad is best known for cricket and hung up his boots in 2023. Their first appearance adds a new couple to the series and puts their private timeline back in view.
2012 to January 2025
2012 was when the pair first began dating, but their relationship ended less than a year later. Broad later wrote in Broadly Speaking that early 2013 travel and work commitments made staying in touch difficult: he flew to India for some one-dayers and then on to New Zealand, while King went to film in Los Angeles.
2019 brought the reset. They gave the romance another chance and took a make-or-break trip to Paris, which led to Broad proposing two years later. King marked that engagement on Instagram with: “A thousand times yes! I still can't believe it, the most magical start to the new year! I can't wait to spend all my years with you @stuartbroad.”
Annabelle and Liliana
2022 added Annabelle to the family, and January 2025 brought Liliana. That turns the Celebrity Gogglebox debut into more than a simple TV booking: it presents a couple whose public life now runs through work, marriage plans, and two children.
King recently said she has been postponing marriage because she “can't bear to think” about her wedding after the loss of her father. The line is the complication in this story, and it is the reason the engagement, now three years old, still has not turned into a wedding date.
Mollie King on TV
For viewers, the draw is straightforward: a first-time pairing, a long relationship arc, and two people already comfortable talking publicly about the parts of life most celebrity couples try to keep separate. Celebrity Gogglebox gets a recognisable name in King and a second career chapter for Broad, now that his playing days are over.
The real question is not whether they will fit the format. It is when they appear this week, because that first watch will finally show how much of the private story they are willing to bring onto TV.
