Jordan Mailata leads 2026 Celebrity Softball Game roster with MLBx additions

Jordan Mailata said he wanted to see if he could bring some of that power from the football field to the MLBx stage, and the 2026 celebrity softball game now has its final four names. The inaugural MLBx: All-Star 3-on-3 roster was completed during All-Star Weekend in Philadelphia with Mailata, Terrell Owens, Eladio Carrión and Antonio Cipriano.

Mailata, an Eagles offensive tackle, joined Team Howard with Alyssa Brito Jordan. Owens landed on Team Rollins with Tiara Jennings, Carrión joined Team Victorino with Rachel Garcia, and Cipriano was placed with Team Atlanta Braves and NiJaree Canady. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Peacock and NBCSN at Citizens Bank Park.

Four teams, one bracket

The field uses four teams for the first time: Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino and Andruw Jones are the captains, and each side pairs one captain with a professional softball player from the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. Team Howard was set to face Team Rollins first, with Team Victorino against Team Atlanta Braves in the second semifinal.

The two semifinal winners were scheduled to meet in a championship game, so the bracket leaves no room for a loose exhibition pace. Every roster spot now fits into a three-game path to a title, which is a sharper format than the old celebrity softball game and a cleaner way to stage the event inside All-Star Weekend.

Mailata, Owens, Carrión

Mailata’s quote gave the roster move its clearest edge: “Being part of MLBx: All-Star 3-on-3 is an incredible opportunity. Baseball has such a passionate following in Philadelphia, and I’m excited to represent the city, team up with Ryan Howard and compete alongside some amazing athletes. Now it’s time to see if I can bring some of that power from the football field to the MLBx stage,”

Owens said baseball was his first love and told fans to “expect [them] to put on a show,” while Carrión said, “I’m excited to team up with Shane Victorino and to be part of the first-ever MLBx: All-Star 3-on-3. It is going to be a lot of fun. Philadelphia is a city that loves sports, so we’re coming ready to compete,”

Women in the lineup

The event’s real reset is not just the four-team bracket. It is also the fact that women are actively involved in the All-Star Game setting outside the old celebrity softball game, with Alyssa Brito Jordan, Tiara Jennings, Rachel Garcia and NiJaree Canady assigned across the four teams from the Athletes Unlimited Softball League.

That makes the bracket announcement more than a name drop. It sets the structure for All-Star Sunday at Citizens Bank Park, and it answers the practical question for readers heading into Philadelphia: the roster is full, the matchups are set, and the only thing left is to see which team gets through the semifinal path and into the championship game.
