Caitlyn said her preparation was simple and direct: "Well, I have asthma, so I have my inhaler". She added, "But like Morgan Wallen... asthma... You know."
That kind of personal planning sat alongside a much larger crowd. Thousands of country music fans attended, including people who traveled from Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and many parts of the Mid-Atlantic to get there.
New England To Baltimore
Gina and Ariana came down from New England with their families and said they were watching both the weather and the trip. "We were worried about the air quality, and then we were also worried about the drive down and traffic," they said.
They still chose Baltimore after Morgan Wallen was not coming to Massachusetts or New York. "When he announced he was coming again, we were disappointed that he wasn't coming to Massachusetts or New York, so we said, we're going to Baltimore," they said.
Riley, Jacque, Kevin
Riley traveled from Mount Airy with her parents and sister and was already looking past the smoke. "I'm so excited. All my friends are going to be here, and we're going to tailgate, and it's going to be awesome," she said.
Jacque said the concert was probably their third concert together as a family, while Kevin noted that the tickets were not cheap. Those details show the same thing from different angles: even with cancellations happening across the region, people treated this show as worth the trip.
