For Sherif and Badosa, the delay creates a tight turnaround in a week that already carries added significance. Both players are scheduled to begin their Hamburg Open campaigns on Tuesday, leaving very little recovery time after the singles final in Iași.
Rain forces a frustrating wait
The final was already delayed for several hours as the weather refused to improve. With the court still unplayable, the decision to move the match to Monday was the only realistic option.
