The affected seasoning came in 70-gram containers and was also sold through Dollarama’s online store.
Consumers who bought the product were told not to use, sell, serve or distribute it. Dollarama later told customers to throw it away and to contact Dollarama Customer Service for a $2 e-gift card.

The CFIA classified the recall as Class 2. That classification means the product could cause temporary or non-life-threatening health effects, even though Bacillus cereus can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps and watery diarrhea. Illness typically lasts between 24 and 48 hours.
