Storms wrote, “Despite everything that’s been going on in my life right now (and I will be honest, it’s more than upsetting) - I still feel that the move to Tennessee was the best choice for me,” and added, “I might not be at the best part of this choice yet, but LA never felt like my real home.” She also said she wants the speculation to stop because her daughter is old enough to Google her name while riding the bus to school.
Harper Rose in the middle
Storms and Brandon Barash share a 12-year-old daughter, Harper Rose, which is why the public comments carry a sharper edge than a standard celebrity split. Storms asked people not to worry about her or assume something bigger is happening, and she said the matter will be sorted out soon hopefully.
That restraint is doing some work here. Storms is not trying to litigate the dispute on Instagram; she is trying to narrow it to parenting time and stop the kind of search-engine residue a child can find years later. For a family already moving separately to Tennessee, public guessing only widens the audience for a private fight.
Barash's petition earlier this year
Earlier this year, Barash was granted an emergency restraining order against Storms after filing a petition last year. In that petition, he alleged substance abuse and mental health issues, and said Storms told him in May 2025 that she was experiencing delusions and hallucinations and did not think she should have the child for her parenting time. He also alleged that his current wife helped Storms seek professional help at a hospital.
Storms answered that version differently on Sunday, calling the dispute a simple disagreement between ex-spouses with a child. The gap between those accounts is the story: one side is asking for privacy, while the other has already put serious allegations into the record.
General Hospital and Tennessee
Storms' post also landed against a work life that has been unsettled since she took a leave of absence from General Hospital in July of last year and returned in February of this year. A June post suggested she was off the show again to focus on her mental health and parenting, which makes the move to Tennessee look less like a lifestyle choice than a reset.
For now, the practical takeaway is plain. Storms says the disagreement with Barash will be resolved, but the only immediate limit she set was for the public: stop speculating, because Harper Rose can find it.
