The New England Revolution completed the signing of Jack Harrison from Leeds United in a permanent deal, bringing the 29-year-old winger back to the United States after several seasons in Europe.
For the Revs, the move adds a familiar name with a long track record at a high level. Harrison first came to America at 14 to attend Berkshire School in Massachusetts, then made his professional debut with NYCFC before moving to Manchester City. He later went on loan to Middlesbrough and Leeds before establishing himself at Elland Road.
Harrison’s route back to the U.S.
Harrison was a key figure for Leeds from 2018 until 2023. In the 2019-20 Championship-winning season, he appeared in all 46 matches. The following Premier League season brought his best production for the club, as he finished with eight goals and eight assists.
Leeds were relegated from the Premier League in 2023, and Harrison then spent two seasons on loan with Everton between 2023 and 2025. In the second half of last season, he was on loan at Fiorentina and recorded one goal and three assists. He then returned to Elland Road for the first half of the 2025-26 season after Leeds went back up to the Premier League.
What it means for New England
The transfer gives New England another experienced attacking option at a useful point in the season. After 15 matches this year, the Revolution were fourth in the Eastern Conference with 26 points, so adding a player with Premier League and MLS experience is a notable boost as the team looks to stay in the mix.
Harrison’s career path also gives the move some symmetry: after years abroad, he is back in America and back in MLS, where he began his professional career.
