Reacher season 4 now has a date: Prime Video begins streaming it on Aug. 12, 2026. Neagley follows on Sept. 16, 2026, turning the franchise’s next chapter into a two-step rollout instead of a single launch.

Maria Sten leads Neagley as Frances Neagley, and Alan Ritchson will join her for part of the series. The setup pushes the franchise into a split format, with one title staying with Jack Reacher and the other centering on Neagley’s own casework.
Sten said, "The reason for making the show is to answer the question, what is Neagley doing when she's not off on Reacher's adventures? And I think, you know, she's in Chicago taking care of her dad, and that is sort of the world we wanted to flesh out." That line gives the spinoff its practical difference: Reacher keeps moving, while Neagley stays rooted in one city.
New York City and Chicago
Reacher Season 1 was set in Margrave, Georgia, Season 2 in New York City, and Season 3 in Abbotsville, Maine. Season 4 returns the story to New York City after Reacher witnesses a suicide in the NYC subway and gets pulled into a political and criminal conspiracy.
Neagley is the first spin-off series from Reacher, and all eight episodes will be available on Sept. 16, 2026. With the final episode of Reacher Season 4 landing alongside that launch, Prime Video is effectively using one franchise to feed the next.
One franchise, two calendars
The cleanest read is that Prime Video is treating Reacher as the engine and Neagley as the expansion. Viewers who follow Alan Ritchson’s series get the next chapter first, then a full eight-episode run that shifts the focus to Frances Neagley and the Chicago setting.
The remaining question is how much of Neagley will Alan Ritchson appear in beyond "part of the series". For now, the schedule is the story: Reacher season 4 on Aug. 12, 2026, and Neagley on Sept. 16, 2026.
