IO Interactive’s 007 First Light patch notes landed on Friday with two new TacSim missions, three weapons, and a new outfit. Players now have fresh content to unlock, but the download size is not equal across platforms.
Two TacSim missions in 007 First Light
The update adds The Workshop and Extraction Avenue to TacSim. The Workshop sends Bond into Q’s workshop for a stealth mission. Extraction Avenue pushes players to shoot through the level before reinforcements arrive. That makes the patch more than a gear drop, because it adds two distinct mission types to the same update.
Clearance Level rewards and 3,000 Intel
The new gear starts with the Stormberg 50'cal pistol at Clearance Level 10, the DRX-2 Machine Pistol at Clearance Level 12, and the DRS-7 Silenced SMG at Clearance Level 16. Each weapon costs 3,000 intel to unlock. The Diamond in the Rough outfit arrives at Clearance Level 18 for 3,000 Intel, so players who want everything will need to keep moving through the unlock track.
PlayStation gets the heavy build
The patch is under 4 GB on most platforms. The PlayStation version is 23.84 GB. That gap matters for players with limited storage, because the same update is much lighter on Windows PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch than it is on The PlayStation.
IO’s June roadmap
IO Interactive had already laid out future 007 First Light content in June, including a story DLC mission centered around pirate king Bawma. This Friday update fits that roadmap, but the article does not say when that DLC mission will arrive. Players waiting for the next story beat still have the same open question after the patch downloads.
