Five Rise Contractors Limited fell into administration on July 14, with James Lumb and Howard Smith of Interpath appointed as joint administrators. The move pulls the company into a formal process that can quickly change how creditors, customers and suppliers deal with it.
£232,000 in fixed assets and £2.2 million in current assets were shown in the company’s accounts for the year to March 31 2025, alongside net assets of about £744,000. Those figures show a business that still had material resources on paper before administration.
James Lumb and Howard Smith
James Lumb’s appointment with Howard Smith puts Interpath in charge of the company’s next steps. In administration, joint administrators take control of the process and decide how to handle the business, its assets and claims from creditors under the rules that govern the appointment.
July 15 brought three more names into the same process: GGS Devco Limited, Eduthing Limited and Savannah Group Limited. Lauren Wentworth and Mark Blackman of KR8 Advisory were appointed over GGS Devco Limited, while David Kemp and Richard Hunt of Exigen Group took over Eduthing Limited and Rachel Ennis and Marco Piacquadio of FTS Recovery were appointed over Savannah Group Limited.
GGS Devco Limited and July 15
£1.5 million of gross profit was reported by GGS Devco Limited in accounts for the year to December 27 2024, yet the business still carried net liabilities of £4.2 million. That combination points to a company that had trading output but still owed more than it owned on balance-sheet terms.
£16.2 million in turnover and about £9 million in gross profit were reported by Eduthing Limited for the year to May 31 2026, while Savannah Group Limited reported £12.4 million in turnover and about £623,000 in operating profit for the year to December 31 2025. Several of the businesses had recently reported substantial turnover, profit or assets, yet still fell into administration.

E5 Living and Pitsford School
£14.8 million of assets and £4.7 million of net liabilities were recorded for E5 Living (Grimsby) Limited in accounts for the year to December 31 2024, before Paul Allen and David Hudson of FRP Advisory were appointed as joint administrators on July 16. The following day, Northamptonshire Independent Grammar School Charity Trust Limited also fell into administration, with Philip Watkins and Philip Armstrong of FRP Advisory appointed over the trust that operated Pitsford School in Pitsford, Northamptonshire.
£7.4 million in fixed assets and about £2 million in current assets were listed in the trust’s accounts for the year to August 31 2024. For creditors and counterparties, the practical issue now is which claims are dealt with through the administrators and which contracts survive long enough to be transferred, wound down or settled under the process.
