Sarah Hardwig Wins Four Yeses Ahead of America's Got Talent Live Acts Revealed

Sarah Hardwig moved one step closer to the live rounds of America’s Got Talent after earning four yeses in her July 21 audition. The Naples native now waits for Tuesday, July 28, when the Live Acts Revealed episode decides who moves into the next phase.

Howie Mandel and four yeses

Howie Mandel called her performance “beautiful and heartwarming” and said she is “the epitome of resilience to show up here and to sing your heart out and to move three or four thousand strangers in this room — and hopefully millions of people at home...” He also told her, “This show is about inspiration, and you’re inspiring.”

Hardwig is 23 years old and was born with visual impairment from Leber's Congenital Amaurosis diagnosis at 5 months old. She says she has light perception only, and she cannot see shapes, shadows, colors, or large print. That background is part of why the audition carried more weight than a standard pass through the judges' table.

July 28 on NBC

The July 28 Live Acts Revealed episode is scheduled to finalize most of the top 44 acts for the upcoming live episodes. For a contestant like Hardwig, that means the July 21 yeses are necessary but not sufficient; the cut that matters comes later, when the field is narrowed and some performers are pushed into Judges Callbacks instead.

Judges Callbacks begin on Aug. 4, giving performers who miss the initial cut a second path into the live episodes. The live episodes are scheduled to start on Aug. 18, so the July 28 decision is the gate between one round of TV exposure and the next.

Naples, Nashville and the July

Hardwig moved to Nashville in 2021 to pursue her music career, after building experience in Naples and Southwest Florida. She won the Tennessee Songwriters Showcase in 2023 and the Danny Award in 2023, graduated from Belmont University in 2025 with a degree in songwriting, and has performed at The Bluebird Cafe, Tin Roof and Listening Room Cafe in Nashville.

Although Hardwig received four yeses from the judges, her place in the live rounds is still pending until the July 28 Live Acts Revealed episode. Will Sarah Hardwig be among the acts chosen for the live rounds on July 28? That answer will show whether the audition turns into a live-episode slot, or into one more stop through the callback lane.
