For Leicester, the appeal is straightforward. A club in League One can offer minutes, responsibility and a more immediate pathway than a top-flight academy setup. For City, the logic is just as clear: keep the player close, keep the long-term rights, and let him learn in a tougher weekly environment than youth football can provide.
