The account used the name MandyK1179 and matched details about the couple’s marriage dates, ages, children, occupations and residence. Amanda wrote in 2024 that she grew up in Metro Detroit and now lived in a small beach town in West Michigan, and she added, "It's like living in a Hallmark Movie."
She also wrote that she met her husband when she was an intern. In one post, she said, "He was divorced and older than me … fast forward ten years and five kids, he was cheating with the intern again — the same age I was when I was the intern," placing the relationship and the later conflict in the same account.
Grand Haven Township deaths
Amanda, Kristopher Karolkiewicz and their six children were found dead in their home in Grand Haven Township on Friday. On Monday, law enforcement said Kristopher Karolkiewicz shot and killed the children and his wife before starting a fire and shooting himself. The family’s pets also perished in the fire and smoke.
