Adva Lavie was arrested Tuesday by Beverly Hills police on a new felony theft warrant filed in Riverside County. Officers said she was not wearing her court-ordered ankle monitor when they took her into custody.
A judge ordered her held without bail on Wednesday after the GPS ankle monitor was reported missing. She is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing Friday.
Riverside County warrant
The new warrant came from an Indio Police Department investigation into a 2025 theft allegation. Police said Lavie allegedly stole from someone at an Airbnb in Indio and that more than $10,000 in property was taken from the person's Tesla.
Investigators said a surveillance video at the home reportedly captured the theft. The victim reported a Rolex worth $8,600, Louis Vuitton sunglasses worth about $700, and a Louis Vuitton card holder worth not quite $2,000 missing.
L.A. County charges
Before Tuesday, Lavie was already awaiting trial in L.A. County on two counts of grand theft and two counts of first-degree residential burglary. She has pleaded not guilty to those charges, which stem from incidents involving five alleged victims.
The new arrest adds a separate Riverside County case to that pending proceeding. The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office filed an additional misdemeanor charge alleging that she violated the court order requiring the monitor.
Lavie and the ankle monitor
Lavie’s bail status turned on a condition that had let her remain out while awaiting trial. Once officers said the GPS monitor was missing, the court had a basis to hold her without bail, and Friday’s hearing now becomes the first chance to revisit that status.
