Disney Store returned to Birmingham city centre on Wednesday, July 29, opening inside Selfridges at Bullring and bringing a permanent Disney Store back to the city.
The new store is based on Level 1 at Selfridges Birmingham and is opening with exclusive products that are only available at the Selfridges Birmingham and London locations. Among the launch items are 1,500 limited edition Winnie The Pooh pin badges, priced at £26 to £45, along with a £149 Mickey Mouse item and a £50 Frozen item.
What shoppers can expect
The range also includes Disney princesses, MARVEL and Star Wars™, plus Disney and Pixar Toy Story Lotso products. The opening gives Birmingham shoppers another permanent option in the city centre, with the store designed to be more than a simple retail stop.
Patrick Sager, Global General Manager, Disney Store and VP, Retail Marketing, Disney Store, said the Disney Store has always been about more than shopping and that it creates special memories for families.
Tatyana said the opening was very exciting and that huge crowds were expected. She also said Disney is special to so many people because it is part of childhood, adding that she felt privileged to be part of it.
Opening weekend offer
There is also a limited opening weekend promotion for Selfridges Unlocked members. From Saturday August 1 to Sunday August 2, members spending £50 or more can receive a Disney and Pixar Toy Story Lotso plush keyring mystery box while stocks last.
Central BID Birmingham, the Business Improvement District supporting retail, leisure and hospitality businesses in Birmingham city centre, is among the groups backing the wider appeal of the area as the Disney Store returns to Bullring.
