Manor Solomon’s future at Tottenham remains unsettled, even after he was named in the starting line-up for recent pre-season friendlies against MK Dons and Auckland FC.
According to his agent, Ronen Katsav, the winger is still pushing for a permanent transfer away from Tottenham this window rather than a loan. Katsav told Israel's Sport 5 that there is still over a month left in the transfer window, but made clear that the preference is for a full move if the right opportunity comes up.
That stance matters because Solomon still has two years left on his Tottenham contract. Any decision this summer would therefore affect both his immediate chances of regular first-team football and Tottenham’s wider squad planning as they continue to consider adding another winger.
Solomon spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, where he made 16 Serie A outings and scored two goals. He has also had previous spells with Fulham and Shakhtar Donetsk, and the latest update suggests he is still focused on getting back to a club where he can play consistently in one of Europe’s top-five leagues.

Katsav was cautious when asked about the next step, saying he did not want to speculate too much. But he was direct about the type of deal Solomon wants, stressing that the goal is a permanent transfer, not another temporary move.
He also suggested that Solomon does not see Tottenham as the best fit for the next stage of his career. Katsav said the player wants to be dominant and make an impact, and that this probably would not happen in north London. He added that Solomon needs a place where he can play regularly and described him as a high-quality player, both mentally and professionally.
At the same time, Katsav played down the importance of Solomon’s starting role in friendlies. In his view, being in the first XI at this stage does not settle anything, because pre-season line-ups can change quickly as coaches rotate and test different options.
For Tottenham, that leaves Solomon in a familiar holding pattern. He is still part of the squad, he is still being used in pre-season, but his long-term future is unresolved. With more than a month left in the window, the situation could still move quickly if a permanent offer emerges.
