Stephanie Grisham filed a temporary restraining order against Rep. Max Miller on Monday, adding a new legal dispute involving the former White House press secretary and the Ohio Republican. The filing comes as Miller faces calls to resign over allegations made by Emily Moreno, his ex-wife.
Grisham and Miller dated in 2019 and 2020. Their earlier dispute resurfaced after Grisham published a 2021 Washington Post op-ed describing an abusive relationship with a boyfriend who was a White House staffer, and Miller sued her for defamation hours later before later dropping that case.

Bernie Moreno said Miller “should not serve in the House of Representatives” and should “seek professional help to end the clear pattern of abuse he has left in his wake.” He also responded on Monday with, “You know, I hope you never have to go through a situation like this and you wouldn’t ask that kind of f—–g question.”
The filing adds a second court fight involving Miller while he represents Ohio’s 7th Congressional District. Grisham’s restraint request now sits beside the custody dispute and the earlier defamation fight, and the record provided does not set out the next court step.
