The Rams did not use him as a target magnet the way some of his earlier teams did, but they did use him as a finishing piece in one of the NFL's best offenses, and that kept him squarely in the fantasy conversation.
In 2025, Adams led the league in receiving touchdowns in his first season with the Rams, scoring 11 times in 14 games while catching 60 passes. He finished as a top-10 wide receiver in half-PPR points per game even without elite target volume, which is the key detail for projecting him forward. When a player can stay productive while operating with 22-24% target share rather than dominating the entire passing game, the scoring profile becomes the foundation of the value.
Why the touchdowns still matter
The Rams' offense gave Adams a role that fit his current stage of career. After joining the Jets in the middle of the 2024 season and posting a 52.1% slot rate, he moved back into a boundary-heavy role in 2025. That shift mattered because it let him function as a true X receiver again, while Matthew Stafford kept feeding a passing game that ranked first in points per drive and second in yards per drive.
The numbers also explain why Adams remains such a difficult player to dismiss. He had 11 catches from 11 touchdowns, and that kind of efficiency can look unsustainable until you remember how often he has lived in this scoring lane.
