Springfield-area voters face Election Day 2026 on Aug. 4, when the primary election includes four amendments to the Missouri Constitution and several contested GOP races. The registration deadline to vote that day has already passed, but absentee voting and polling place checks remain available before ballots are cast.
Voters will decide whether the four amendments placed on the ballot by the state legislature advance to the November ballot. Greene County Clerk Voting Information
Greene County voters can check polling locations on the Greene County Clerk’s office Voting Information page, and Christian County lists its polling places separately. The Missouri Secretary of State’s website also lets voters confirm registration status and check a polling location before Election Day.
Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 4, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must provide valid government-issued photo ID, including a non-expired Missouri drivers license, a free non-drivers license issued by the state, a U.S. passport, or a military photo ID.
Greene County Elections Center and The Library Center
A special two-week window allows no-excuse absentee voting in Greene County. At the Greene County Elections Center, 1126 N. Boonville Ave., absentee voting is available weekdays through Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the site is also open Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At The Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave., absentee voting is available weekdays through Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It also is open Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. That gives voters who have already missed the registration deadline one last practical route to participate before polls close on Aug. 4.
Missouri Secretary of State
The Springfield area has no Democratic primary contests aside from the state auditor race, so the ballot access questions are concentrated on the constitutional amendments and the contested GOP primaries.
