Bradford City have signed former Everton defender Reece Welch on a two-year deal after a successful trial, giving Graham Alexander another option in defence as the season gets underway.
Welch is 22 and stands 6ft 6in, bringing size and experience to the Bantams after coming through Everton’s academy system and spending time on loan with Forest Green and Belgian side Deinze.
His move to Bradford City comes after he was released by Everton at the end of last season. During his time with the Toffees, Welch made three first-team appearances, so he arrives with some senior experience already behind him.
