Jason Harb, 30, died Saturday night after a two-vehicle crash in Harrison Township at Shook Road and Jefferson Avenue. Deputies were dispatched about 10:30 p.m. after reports of the collision, and the crash left his 1-year-old son, Gianni, without both parents.

A Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer was traveling west on Shook Road when a Cadillac SRX tried to turn left onto northbound Jefferson. The Cadillac turned into the path of the pickup truck, and the two collided. After the impact, the truck left the roadway and struck an electrical pole on the northeast corner of the intersection.
The driver of the Cadillac was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Silverado, a 28-year-old male from Shelby township, remained at the scene. Macomb County Sheriff’s Office officials said the investigation has been completed.

Family and friends identified the victim as Jason Harb, who worked at Al’s Barber Shop on Harper Avenue in Clinton Township. The barber shop operators said the shop will be closed until further notice as they grieve the loss, writing about "this tremendous loss" and asking for "understanding, patience, and support during this difficult time," while also saying, "Please keep Jason’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers."
Relatives set up a GoFundMe page for Gianni’s daily needs and future. Caterina Harb said Gianni’s mother, Lola, also died within the past year, and wrote, "Our family is heartbroken, and we are doing everything we can to surround Gianni with love and support during this unimaginable time," As of Tuesday, 114 people had donated $14,500 to the fund.
With the investigation completed and the donation page continuing, the crash now leaves the family focused on Gianni’s care and the unanswered question of what led the Cadillac SRX to turn left into the pickup’s path.
