Angela seems to realize Devens has the Diamond Power of Veto, and she is OK with him not telling her about it. That kind of quiet cover is useful in a season where the Toolshed has stayed in charge despite the game getting messy around the edges.
Rome and Jason Exit
Kamu successfully backdoored Rome in Thursday’s live episode, and Rome was evicted before Jason went out after him. That left the Resistance lighter on numbers and removed two names from the mix at exactly the point where the house majority was trying to lock down the next stretch of play.
Devens also looks better inside the room because Drew and Barrett still trust him and want to work with him. Barrett had already folded quite easily when Devens applied pressure, which helps explain why the majority still leans his way even with internal problems building.
Rick has done an outstanding job with his social game this week with Drew and Barrett, and that matters because it keeps the majority from splitting too early. Drew and Barrett are still described as cracks in the foundation, but they are not yet behaving like open enemies.

Mallory won the Power of Veto in Week 1 and won the BB Blockbuster this week, making her 2-for-2 in taking herself off the block this season. She tried to flip Barrett to her side of the house, and he voted to keep her anyway.
Mallory can win, but the rest of her game is harder to sell. Her competition results have kept her alive, yet she keeps needing to save herself, which leaves her vulnerable the moment the house stops treating her like a short-term problem.
She may also be the sole comp beast remaining on that side after the latest win, which makes her both useful and dangerous to the people around her. If the current majority keeps its grip, the next pressure point is whether Mallory can turn one more competition win into real leverage before the Toolshed puts her on the block again.
