Sasa Lukic has completed a medical ahead of a £9million move from Fulham to Ipswich Town, with the 29-year-old set to join Kieran McKenna's squad on a four-year contract.
For Ipswich Town, it is another clear sign of intent as they prepare for their return to the Premier League following promotion last season. The move also adds depth to a midfield that has already been stretched by the end of loan deals for Jens Cajuste and Dan Neil, while Azor Matusiwa and Jack Taylor are unavailable after surgery on respective muscle and knee injuries in the 2025-26 campaign.
Why Lukic matters to Ipswich
Lukic is not arriving as a speculative signing. He brings recent top-flight experience and comes in after a steady spell for Fulham, where he made 30 appearances and contributed two goals and two assists. That is the sort of output that suggests reliability rather than headlines, which can matter just as much for a newly promoted side trying to settle quickly.
