National Rail said Elizabeth line services between Reading and London Paddington may have been delayed after an earlier trespass incident at Abbey Wood. The disruption had ended by 09:35 am on Monday, August 3, but journeys on the Reading and Abbey Wood route could still be held up while services recovered.

The problem affected trains between Reading, London Paddington and Abbey Wood. National Rail told customers to allow extra journey time for short notice service alterations or platform changes, and to listen to Elizabeth line station announcements or approach a staff member for information.

Elizabeth line recovery

Elizabeth line services were running at regular speed again after the issue was dealt with. Even so, some trains may still have been delayed or rescheduled as the service settled back into normal running on Monday morning.
