Peter Skoronski and the Tennessee Titans agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract extension with $88 million guaranteed, a deal that locks in one of the team’s most dependable players and makes him the NFL’s highest-paid guard.
For the Titans, the move is about more than just pay scale. Skoronski has started at left guard since being selected with the No. 11 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and he has given the team something every offensive line wants: stability. Over the past two seasons, he has not missed a snap and has played in 47 consecutive games.
A major commitment to a steady starter
That durability matters because Tennessee has cycled through more than its fair share of tackles and centers during Skoronski’s short tenure. While the line around him has changed, Skoronski has stayed in place and developed into a core piece of the offense.
His 2025 season reinforced that standing. Skoronski graded out as the Titans’ best offensive player and the NFL’s second-best guard by pass blocking grade per Pro Football Focus. That combination of availability and performance is a big reason the Titans were willing to make a long-term commitment now.
Skoronski also brought a strong pedigree into the league. He was an All-America tackle in college before moving inside to guard, and Tennessee has benefited from that transition. The Titans are paying for both what he has already shown and what they believe is still ahead.
Skoronski says Nashville is where he wants to be
Skoronski called the extension “a tremendous blessing” and said the deal reflects the work, sacrifice and support that helped him get to this point. He added that from the moment he arrived, Tennessee was where he wanted to be, and said he loves the organization and the city. He also said he is excited for what comes next, but is ready to get back to work.
Mike Borgonzi echoed that confidence, saying the Titans could not be happier to keep Skoronski in Nashville. Borgonzi said the organization wants to retain cornerstone players and described Skoronski as one of them, pointing to his work ethic, talent and desire to win.
The extension gives the Titans a long-term answer at guard and signals that Skoronski is no longer just a promising young starter. He is now one of the foundational players on the roster, and Tennessee has made clear it wants him to remain part of the plan for years to come.
