Shamrock Rovers launched a new 50/50 half time draw initiative at the Dundalk match on Friday, August 7, 2026, with the first run of the fundraiser taking place at Tallaght Stadium, Dublin 24, Ireland.
The draw will now be held at every home league match, giving supporters a new way to take part on matchday while helping raise money for the SRFC community foundation and the SRFC Academy. The initiative is built around a simple split: 50% of the draw total goes to the winner, while the rest supports the club's community and academy work.
How the draw works
Tickets are priced at 2 for €5 or 5 for €10, making it easy for supporters to enter during home league match days. The first draw at the Dundalk match marked the launch of the initiative, and the format is set to continue across the season at each home league match.
For Shamrock Rovers, the value of the fundraiser is straightforward. It creates a regular matchday feature and directs support toward two parts of the club that have a wider reach beyond the pitch: the SRFC community foundation and the SRFC Academy. With the first draw now complete, the focus shifts to how the initiative will be received at future home league match dates.
