Nestlé Adds After Eight Caramel, Orange and Raspberry

After Eight is adding Caramel, Orange and Raspberry for the first time in its 64-year history, a break from the mint-only formula that has defined the brand for decades. Nestlé is pairing the flavour shift with one brand new packaging design and a wider cocoa-sourcing change across all After Eight products.

Fred Porchet on After Eight

Fred Porchet said, "After Eight has long been synonymous with premium mint chocolate, making it one of the most recognisable brands in confectionery." He added, "By introducing flavours beyond mint for the first time, we are broadening the brand’s appeal to new consumers and more consumption occasions."

The three new flavours are Caramel, Orange and Raspberry. Mint remains green, Caramel is gold, Raspberry is pink and Orange is orange, with each After Eight flavour given its own distinct colour scheme in the new design.

Nestlé’s packaging update

One brand new packaging design is part of the refresh, and Nestlé said it "embraces the brand’s established aesthetic" while giving it a "contemporary update". That keeps the premium cue in place even as the product line moves beyond the flavour that made it familiar.

All After Eight products now use cocoa mass sourced from cocoa-farming families participating in the Nestlé Income Accelerator Program. The program supports cocoa-farming communities to close the income gap and implement regenerative farming methods.

Nestlé’s wider flavour push

Nestlé has recently launched Aero Milkybar, Milkybar Caramel Crunch, two new KitKat sharing bars, Nescafe Lion Mocha and Nescafe KitKat Latte. The After Eight change fits that broader pattern: refresh familiar names, keep the core brand identity, and use flavour extensions to reach more buyers without abandoning the original label.

For consumers, the practical shift is simple: After Eight is no longer tied only to Mint, and the product family now arrives with clearer flavour coding on pack. The remaining open point is the rollout timing, which Nestlé has not set out, so the new versions are not yet on shelves on the basis of the announcement alone.
