Aberdeen have signed Belgian forward Mitchy Ntelo from Yverdon-Sport FC on an undisclosed fee, completing their 13th summer signing. Ntelo arrives on an initial two-year deal with an option for a third year, pending international clearance and UK visa formalities.

Stephen Robinson said Aberdeen had tracked Mitchy for some time and described him as tall, exceptionally quick, and comfortable both through the middle and in the wide areas. Robinson also said that versatility was one of the biggest attractions, and that Ntelo gives Aberdeen another attacking option as the squad continues to take shape.
Ntelo, 25, said he was very happy to be an Aberdeen player and called the move a big step. He added that when he heard Aberdeen wanted to sign him, he was desperate to make it happen.
Yverdon-Sport FC departure
The move sends Ntelo from Yverdon-Sport FC to Scotland after a spell that followed his time in Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Aberdeen are taking on a forward who can play centrally or on either flank, and who has already been used in more than one role.
That blend of roles comes with a complication. Ntelo is arriving from a club that had been relegated, while Aberdeen are presenting him as an in-form attacker with scoring output in several settings. Robinson pointed to six goals in six starts for Botev Vratsa in January 2026, along with 10 goals in 24 starts for MVV Maastricht and six goals in 14 starts for Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Aberdeen squad rebuild
Ntelo also came through the academy of Standard Liège, joined Royal Charleroi after reportedly attracting interest from FC Utrecht, and was briefly a teammate of Oday Dabbagh there. For Aberdeen, the practical next step is straightforward: the paperwork has to clear before Ntelo can be fully available, and the club now has to fit a 25-year-old, 6ft 2in forward into a squad that has already added 13 players this summer.
How much Aberdeen paid remains undisclosed, which leaves the move harder to benchmark against their other business. What is clear is that Aberdeen have added a player they believe can work centrally or wide, and Ntelo has already said he is ready to give his best for the fans and help the team be successful.
