Hull City have completed the signing of Sweden international Elliot Stroud from Mjallby AIF on a four-year deal, adding a 24-year-old wing-back as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
The move was announced on Sunday and brings to an end Stroud's three-and-a-half-year spell with Mjallby AIF, where he scored 28 goals and provided 14 assists. That attacking output is a major part of the appeal for Hull City, who are looking to strengthen across the pitch after earning promotion.

Stroud also arrives with international experience after featuring in all four of Sweden's 2026 World Cup matches. For a player in his mid-20s, that combination of regular club production and tournament exposure makes him an interesting addition for a newly promoted side.
After the deal was confirmed, Stroud said he was “super happy and super excited” to get started and added that once he first heard of Hull City's interest, it was the only move he wanted to make. He said he spoke with the Chairman and came away with an even better impression of the club and everything around it.
Stroud also said the chance to play at the highest level was something he had always wanted, calling the move to Hull City a very exciting opportunity. Looking ahead to the season, he said it was a dream to play in the Premier League and hoped to “create something magical” in his first campaign at the club.
For Hull City, the deal is another sign of ambition as they build for the Premier League. For Stroud, it is the next step in a career that has already included a strong run in Sweden and a place on the World Cup stage.
