Rugby Police are continuing their search for angelica 11 verity 12 after the two schoolgirls were last seen together in Newbold, Rugby, at around 4am on 9 August. The force issued a 999 appeal just after 2am and included a more recent photo of Angelica.
The girls were reported missing from Rugby on Saturday 8 August, and police said they were growing increasingly concerned for their welfare. In the appeal, officers asked: "Have you seen 11-year-old Angelica and 12-year-old Verity?"

Rugby Police said: "The girls, who are believed to be together, were reported missing from Rugby this morning and our officers are growing increasingly concerned for their welfare." That appeal came late on 8 August, before the fresh update just after 2am on 9 August.
The new message repeated the practical step for the public: "We would urge anyone who sees them or knows where they might be to call 999 immediately quoting incident number 123 of 8 August."
Newbold sighting at 4am
The clearest timeline point is the sighting in Newbold at around 4am on 9 August, after the first appeal had already gone out. By then, the girls had still not been located nearly 24 hours after the initial report, which is why the public appeal was refreshed with Angelica's newer photo.
Rugby Police also said the girls have links to Rugby and Cornwall. In practice, that means information from either place could matter to the search, and anyone with a sighting should pass it straight to 999 rather than wait for further updates.
Angelica and Verity
Angelica is 11 and Verity is 12, and police said they were believed to be together when they were last seen. The immediate issue now is not interpretation but location: where the two girls are, and whether anyone has seen them since the Newbold sighting.
Until that is answered, the only action Rugby Police have asked for is simple and direct — call 999 immediately with incident number 123 of 8 August if you see Angelica or Verity, or know where they might be.
