A man was arrested after three pedestrians were hit by a car on Stokes Croft in Bristol at about 06:30 BST. One pedestrian was taken to hospital, and Bristol Supt Matt Ebbs said police do not believe there to be any wider threat.
Ebbs appealed for anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage to contact police. He also said anybody with concerns could speak to officers on the ground.

Police said the injuries to one pedestrian were not considered life-changing or life-threatening, while the two others were not seriously injured. A man police believe to be the car's driver was treated for facial injuries after his arrest.
Thomas Street, Hepburn Road, Stokes Croft and City Road were closed while enquiries continued. That left a cordon in place in Bristol as officers worked in the area.

Ebbs said, "we do not believe there to be any wider threat." He also said, "Anybody with concerns is welcome to speak to officers on the ground, but we would also appeal to anybody with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage which may assist our enquiries to contact us."
The damaged Best Off Licence in Stokes Croft was part of the scene police examined after the collision. For people who were in the area around daybreak, the practical next step is to pass on any footage that captures the car, the pedestrians or the moments before the arrest.
