Overwatch patch notes for Season 4 add D.Mon to the Tank roster at launch, and the update also changes how the Battle Pass works. Players will not just get a new hero to learn. They will also get more control over which Legendary skin they chase first after the introductory track.
Yuna Lee and Busan
Yuna Lee, the former pro gamer who has defended Busan from inside her MEKA, Beast, for years, now shares the spotlight with D.Mon in a roster built around the MEKA Squad. That pairing gives Season 4 a clearer theme than a normal hero drop, because the update ties a new playable Tank to the same Busan-linked world that has defined Lee’s story.
D.Mon’s Tank toolkit
D.Mon enters with Plasma Saber, Power Barrier, Propulsors, Fusion Repeater, and Limit Break. Those names point to a kit that mixes defense, movement, and burst windows, so players who queue into the role will need to read spacing and timing fast rather than treat her like a simple damage sponge.
Battle Pass and Tier Hack
Season 4 also brings the biggest Battle Pass update yet. Players will choose which Legendary skin they want to pursue first after completing an introductory track, and Premium Battle Pass owners can use a Tier Hack once per Battle Pass to swap an eligible Legendary reward for another curated cosmetic from the seasonal Swap Pool.
The Swap Pool launches with Raijin Ashe, Mob Boss Junker Queen, Cardboard Reinhardt, Sakura Lifeweaver, and Crustacean Wrecking Ball. That gives paying players a bounded set of alternatives instead of a single fixed reward path, but the system still stops short of total freedom because the Tier Hack only works once per Battle Pass.
MEKA Mania in August
The Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania game show event runs for three weeks, and MEKA Mania runs from August 11 to August 31. Players can choose a pilot pass, complete challenges, earn rewards, and cast a vote during the event, and every completed pass casts one vote and unlocks more of the story. Finishing all five passes opens a surprise Prestige track.
D.Mon is being sold as a long-awaited addition, yet the update does not explain why her arrival took so long. The one date readers still need is when Season 4 itself starts, because the hero, the Battle Pass overhaul, and MEKA Mania all hinge on that launch window.
